Back from our road trip through South East Asia, we present you the forth instalment of the popular “Producers On The Run” drum kit series: “Vol. IV: The Bali Drum Kit”. The “Producers On The Run” drum kit series combines field recordings with innovative sound design. This time our journey went from Indonesia’s capital Jakarta across the island of Java, Bali, Gili T. and Lombok. Recorded in the deepest jungle far off the smog and noise of the big cities, “Vol. IV: The Bali Drum Kit” captures the sound of Bali’s rich culture & nature. This drum kit is packed with aspiring percussion sounds & ambiences which will perfectly fit into your individual production process. Due to its versatility it can be used in numerous genres like Trap, Hip Hop, Pop, etc. If you’re looking to add more vibes to your productions, this drum kit is made for you!

Production process:

Arriving in Indonesia the journey started in Jakarta, located on the main island of Java. We quickly realised that we need to leave the big city to explore Indonesia’s true colors. The journey took us through volcano landscapes, temple ruins and thick reign forests. Through the course of the journey we tried to capture as many new sounds as possible to modulate new aspiring samples. “Vol. IV: The Bali Drum Kit” features recordings of animal sounds (Apes, Insects), wooden percussion & ambiences (Bamboo, Reign Forest) as well as traditional rituals. All samples have been recorded with the Zoom h4n mobile recorder using its build-in microphones.
